Summon ROG Gaming Center with a single press of a hotkey to see a comprehensive dashboard with loads of useful information, including both CPU and GPU frequencies and temperatures — and use the control panel to make adjustments in real time. ROG GameFirst, GameVisual, Sonic Studio, Sonic Radar, Aura Core, as well as XSplit Gamecaster, can also be accessed through ROG Gaming Center. With ROG Gaming Center, you can even save different game settings and parameters in the cloud so you can access them even when you change laptops. It offers improved compatibility with all ROG software, including software for ROG graphics cards. ROG Gaming Center is even available via the ROG Android or iOS apps, so you can keep all the controls close at hand.

ROG GameFirst V technology maximizes throughput for your game! It prioritizes network packets for increased bandwidth for online gaming and streaming. Strix SCAR Edition has a specially-designed cooling system that improves airflow and system durability to keep you going during intense gaming sessions. The intelligent thermal design employs three fans that automatically adjust themselves to optimize CPU, GPU, and VRAM performance. Intake vents situated above the keyboard and underside of the chassis improve airflow into the system; while the patented trapezoid-cut lid design* doesn’t interfere with the air tunnels and hot exhaust at the rear of the laptop. The patented Anti-Dust Cooling system expels dust particles and dirt to improve system reliability and durability. Triple-Fan Design for Improved Airflow
A triple-fan design comprising of two main 12V fans and a 5V fan drive air through three thermal ducts. The main fans, compared to a standard 5V fan, spin 20% faster, improve airflow by up to 42.5%, and increase air pressure by up to 92%. Each fan has more blades too, rising from 37 to 59 for more effective cooling.

Anti-Dust Cooling System
The Anti-Dust Cooling system is a patented centrifugal fan module with two anti-dust tunnels. It works on the principle of centrifugal force, which acts on any object moving in a circular path, pushing it away from the center from which it is moving. Dust particles and dirt in the fan module are blown along the fan walls, and eventually expelled out of the chassis through the anti-dust tunnels. This prevents buildup on the heatsink fins. Dust accumulation on the heatsink often result in compromised cooling performance. The Anti-Dust Cooling system prolongs the lifespan and increases the stability of the system. Fan noise also decreases since the fans aren’t overworked.
Ultrathin Fin Design
The special copper alloy cooling fins used in Strix SCAR Edition are just 0.1mm thin — half the thickness of regular fins. Narrower fins allow for more fins to be used in the cooling module, this increases the surface area for heat dissipation by up to 8%, while at the same time reducing air resistance by 7%.
Trapezoid-Cut Lid
When opened, normal laptop lids block airflow out the back which could, in some instances, cause overheating. The innovative and patented trapezoid-cut avoids this problem, and improves thermal efficiency by up to 27% over traditional designs.

While the dynamic fans automatically adjust their speed according to CPU and GPU temperatures, you can select different modes to suit the situation at hand. Overboost is the most aggressive setting, with the fastest fan speed for the cooling required to fully exploit the power of ROG Strix SCAR Edition. Silent mode lowers the fan speed, ideal when you’re after some peace and quiet. A single press of the function key (Fn+F5) allows you to quickly and easily regulate fan performance to control noise levels and power consumption; it can also be accessed through ROG Gaming Center.
